Ockham's Razor is a Seattle-based Celtic rock band that blends rock, pop, gypsy, punk, classical, bluegrass, Tin Pan Alley, and techno influences with Irish/Celtic roots and has carved out a unique niche in the Celtic rock genre being hailed as “Ethno Punk” and “Turbo Celtic”.
Since 2006, Ockham's Razor has performed with such notable bands as The Cheiftains, Young Dubliners, Enter the Haggis and the Paperboys. Their music has been played on radio stations and podcasts throughout the U.S., Canada, Ireland, Scotland, England, Australia and Germany and the band has been feature on television shows such as "PDXposed" and "Next Stop".
Currently, Ockham's Razor is on a much needed hiatus but new songs are being written, new musicians are coming together and the next evolution of Ockham's Razor will soon be introduced to the world of Celtic music.
Ockham's Razor appears on the premier episode of Next Stop, a show that will not only take you to fabulous locations but it will also give you an insider's look into the people that make each destination unique.
Next Stop contacted Ockham's Razor to arrange a performance and interview at Owl n' Thistle Irish Pub for their "Seattle" episode. Next Stop, hosted by four-time Emmy nominated TV Host Jon Olson, is brought to you by the same creative team that earned seven Emmy nominations for PDXposed to bring their accumulated expertise in the field of travel to bring you the local music, sports & activities, local flavors and much more for each of the locations they feature.
