Kris & Katie on stage together Nov 12th
November 10, 2011:
Original Ockham's Razor members Katie Corcoran and Kris Clements will share the stage together as Ockham's Razor for the first time in years for a special evening of Irish culture co-presented by SEEDArts.
Joining Katie and Kris on stage are Allison McEntire and Sam Nichols. We'll teach a hands-on workshop for audience members on playing traditional instruments. Sam Nicols, Irish Stepdancer, will also perform a dance set and teach a dance workshop afterwards. Irish Cuisine will be offered in the lower level after the performance.
Tickets will be available through Brown Paper Tickets or at the door. For more information about Arts Gumbo, call 206-760-4285
This is the last show Ockham's Razor will be performing for a while as we go back, bring in some new musicians and create the next evolution of Ockham's Razor.
St. Patricks Day!
March 16, 2011:
This year, we're packing up and heading out of the big cities for St. Patricks Day and the weekend. We're heading out to Galway Bay Irish Pub in Ocean Shores, WA.
Music starts at 6pm with Kris and Tom joined by our friend from Eugene, OR, Kitty Steele. Then at 9pm, we crank up the volume, plug in the electric guitars, set up the drum kit and bring out the hard stompin' Celtic rock to make this St. Patricks Day at Galway Bay unforgettable.
We'll be out at the coast all weekend so join us Friday night at the 8th St Ale House in Hoqiuam, WA and then back at Galway Bay on Saturday night.
PLUS, we'll have your chance to win a pair of tickets to the Great West Coast Craic show in Seattle on May 14th! but don't fret, if you don't win, we'll also have General Admission tickets to sell at our merch table for $25.00. Make sure you make plans to join us, the Young Dubliners, Amadan and the Whiskey Dicks at the GWC Craic - Seattle show!
We'd also like to thank everyone who helped us make the GWC Craic - Aberdeen show possible: Bill Gibbons (owner of Galway Bay Irish Pub and the 8th St Ale House), Jeff Beard, Kelly at the Ramada - Ocean Shores for putting up all of the bands and being the official hotel of the GWC Craic - Aberdeen, and all the bands who performed that evening. You guys tore the roof off the place!
